Big Day by Yi Ignites Liberty Win
The MSL Philadelphia Liberty put the giddy home crowd in an even more jubilant mood after beating the MSL Montana Pandas in the season opener at MSL Liberty Ballpark. Left Fielder Joong-geun Yi won plaudits for MSL Philadelphia. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The win was credited to 18-year old right-handed pitcher Vladimir Ogrijenovic in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Joaquín Lozano took the loss. Manuel Rosado closed out the game, earning his 1st save.

MSL Philadelphia took the lead, 4-3, on Donald Downing's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off MSL Montana pitcher Joaquín Lozano in the bottom of the seventh.

MSL Philadelphia manager Armando Ortíz commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
