SMSL's Best Player Selected, It's Morales

He may have less experience than most of his USSL Mexican Summer League peers, but that didn't slow Jesús Morales down at all in 2063.
At the age of 19, the MSL Echo Park left fielder has been named the winner of the USSL Mexican Summer League Most Valuable Player Award.
He had a .372 batting average and a .444 on-base percentage this year. In 48 games he piled up 73 hits, 10 doubles, 5 triples, 17 home runs, 39 RBIs and 44 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Ángel Andrade of the MSL Echo Park Lakers finished second in voting, while Christovão Lestof of the MSL Vancouver Grey Wolves finished third.
