The MSL St. Louis Coeur inaugurated their 2058 season with a tough 3-2 loss to the MSL Greenville 84s at MSL St. Louis Ballpark. Starting Pitcher Lapaele Bardo had perhaps the best performance for MSL Greenville. Bardo yielded 2 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 0, and struck out 8. His record improves to 1-0.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Dwaine Louch? The 17-year old first baseman Louch stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put MSL Greenville up, 3-2. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said MSL St. Louis manager Pedro Mendoza. "But we decided not to take it."
