Behind a fine performance from Noud Wolthaus, the MSL Oakland Oaks knocked off the MSL St. Louis Coeur, 4-2. Wolthaus was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Oaks. Ed Alvarado, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2061 draft, was the winner. He's now 2-0. The loser was Moeaktola Alkira. The loss puts MSL St. Louis at 1-3.
With MSL Oakland leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Wolthaus hit a fastball from António Rodríguez for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Oaks ahead, 3-0.
MSL St. Louis manager Harunobu Matsushita said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
