The MSL Panama City Piranhas could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Guy Harris into a win. Instead, the MSL Oakland Oaks prevailed, 4-1. Harris threw 6.0 innings of 2-hit ball. MSL Panama City falls to 0-4.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Ralph Sterling? The 18-year old left fielder Sterling stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put MSL Oakland up, 2-1. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said Sterling.
