Northern Lions BC Get One-Run Win at MSL Charleston
The MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC downed the MSL Charleston Battery, 6-5. The hitting star was first baseman Neil Mira. Mira went 2-5 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Northern Lions BC. The winner was MSL Thunder Bay reliever José Cortéz, now 1-0. The loser was Sosuke Saito. Earning his 1st save for MSL Thunder Bay was Maup Looms.

Mira had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 0-1 fastball from Matvei Laenko, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Northern Lions BC a 6-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Mira.

"We take it day by day here," said Mira, "and today was a good one for us."

With the win, MSL Thunder Bay lifts its record to 2-2.
