Northern Lions BC Edge Past Battery, 4-3

The MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC did just enough to sneak past the MSL Charleston Battery, 4-3, at MSL Charleston Ballpark. MSL Thunder Bay pitcher José Luna, in particular, had a standout performance. Liam Fitzgerald notched his 1st save of the season. After losing, MSL Charleston is 2-2.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the eighth, with the game tied, Miguel Ortega was at the plate when MSL Thunder Bay scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Northern Lions BC to go in front, 4-3.
"Enjoyed this one," Ortega told the MSL Thunder Bay Today. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
