Bullets Deal Lighthouse 5-3 Defeat
The MSL Long Island Lighthouse could not turn a fine performance from third baseman Sergio Salazar into a win. Instead, the MSL Baltimore Bullets prevailed, 5-3. Salazar went 4-4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 3. The winning pitcher was David Hughes. He's now 1-0. He went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 10 hits for the Bullets. Raúl Jiménez collected save number 1.

The Lighthouse had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Bullets going into the top of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 18-year old center fielder Erwijn Berghout came to the plate. Berghout hit a 2-run home run on a 2-1 fastball from MSL Long Island hurler Bob Dudley. It was Berghout's 2nd home run of the year.

MSL Baltimore manager praised his team's "businesslike approach."
