MSL Thunder Bay got a first-rate effort from pitcher Tomás González, who frustrated MSL Kingston hitters en route to a 2-1 Northern Lions BC triumph at MSL Kingston Township Ballpark. Qi-zhen Pai picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Iván Morín was tagged with the loss. With the win, MSL Thunder Bay lifts its record to 1-4.

MSL Thunder Bay needed the clutch hitting of Luis Rivas to seal the deal. The shortstop swatted a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Northern Lions BC on top, 2-1. For the game, Rivas had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said González.
