Soggy conditions did not keep MSL Kingston and MSL Nova Scotia from playing their scheduled game.
The MSL Kingston Ponies picked up a win at MSL Nova Scotia Ballpark, knocking off the MSL Nova Scotia Leviathan, 7-3. On the mound for MSL Kingston was right-hander Anastasio Valenzuela. He played a key role in the triumph. The Ponies, now 4-2, have been playing some good baseball.
MSL Kingston used a well-timed hit by Luwen Croonenborgh to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Ponies ahead, 4-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Anastasio did what Anastasio does," said MSL Kingston manager Dan Taylor.
