The MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC defeated the MSL Cape Coral Hurricanes, 5-2. Doing his part was third baseman Samuel Zhan, who went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The loss has the Hurricanes at 3-3.

Zhan contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for MSL Thunder Bay in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Zhan took a fastball from Roberto Romo and stroked the home run to center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Northern Lions BC to leap in front, 3-1.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said MSL Thunder Bay manager Sergio Muñóz.
