Martínez Lifts Dirty Reds to 4-2 Triumph
A good performance from center fielder Gilberto Martínez helped the MSL Dayton Dirty Reds defeat the MSL Charleston Battery, 4-2. Martínez went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk for the Dirty Reds. Tom Schaefer picked up the save for MSL Dayton, his 2nd of the year. MSL Dayton is off to a hot start at 5-2.

Xi-wang Koo had a direct impact on the outcome. Koo contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put MSL Dayton up, 3-2.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Martínez.
