Leviathan Handed 7-6 Loss
|
The MSL Buckhead Bowties beat the MSL Nova Scotia Leviathan by a score of 7-6. MSL Buckhead catcher Sinisa Srskic deserved the lion's share of the credit. Srskic was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Bowties. The win was credited to 18-year old right-handed pitcher Alexander Heighway in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Xie-li Kun took the loss. The win takes MSL Buckhead to 6-2.
Srskic contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for MSL Buckhead in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 6-3, Srskic took a fastball from Xie-li Kun and stroked the home run to right. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Bowties to leap in front, 7-6.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said MSL Buckhead manager Jason Cease.
