Castillo Hits 2 home runs in Liberty Win
A 4-RBI performance from right fielder César Castillo led the MSL Philadelphia Liberty to a win over the MSL Ft. Worth Cattlemen, 9-6. MSL Philadelphia reliever Vladimir Ogrijenovic picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Alex Martin absorbed the loss. Denis Teissier earned the save for MSL Philadelphia.

Had Chuck Goodman not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Goodman hit a 2-run double. That made the score 8-6, in favor of the Liberty.

In comments to the MSL Philadelphia Daily News, Goodman admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."

The win gives MSL Philadelphia a record of 3-0.
