Stingers Defeat Kingfishers, 4-1
The MSL Toledo Stingers went home winners at MSL Toledo Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Domingo Velasco. Velasco stifled the MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers, enabling MSL Toledo to grab the 4-1 win. Velasco, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up no walks. The save went to Júlio Herrera, number 1 for him.

With two out in the bottom of the first, Mariano Estrada barreled up a fastball from Jo Miyashita. The result was a 3-run home run, putting the Stingers in front, 4-0.

"I like what I saw today," said MSL Toledo manager José Gato, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."

The win gives MSL Toledo a record of 2-2.
