Ponies Take Tight Tangle
|
The MSL Cape Coral Hurricanes could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Carlitos Laboro into a win. Instead, the MSL Kingston Ponies prevailed, 3-2. Laboro threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. MSL Kingston reliever Iván Morín was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Javier Galindo. Jaime Soto was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
Guillermo López had a critical at-bat with two out in the top of the eighth. The MSL Kingston second baseman came through with a run-scoring single to put MSL Kingston in front, 3-1.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said MSL Kingston manager Dan Taylor.
MSL Kingston sits at 6-3.
