Both pitching staffs took a bruising at MSL Charleston Ballpark, but MSL Charleston pitcher Reynold Bothof had enough success to help the Battery top the MSL Dayton Dirty Reds, 13-12. With the loss, MSL Dayton drops to 4-5.

In the bottom of the fifth, Vladimir Pushkin delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the MSL Charleston left fielder hit a run-scoring single, putting the Battery in front, 13-12.

"I can't say enough about Reynold," said MSL Charleston manager Koryusai Ohayashi. "He stepped up when we needed him."
