The MSL Charleston Battery got a sterling performance from pitcher Julián Lucero, but the MSL Kingston Township Knights still prevailed, 2-0. Lucero threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball. Lorenzo Cortéz picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Julián Lucero was tagged with the loss. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Scott Bates.

The Knights got a big at-bat from right fielder Iván Galindo. For the game, Galindo was 1-4 with a double. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 2nd double of the season gave MSL Kingston Township a 1-0 lead.

Galindo said his team "played with determination."
