Carlos Herrera was masterful in helping the MSL Memphis Mockingbirds take down the MSL Detroit Elite, 4-0. The win was credited to 18-year old right-handed pitcher Chris Hutchins in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Labaan Makwangwala took the loss. With their winning streak at 5, the Mockingbirds have raced to a strong start this season.

José Sánchez hit a run-scoring double off Labaan Makwangwala in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Mockingbirds in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Sánchez had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"I thought we played a nice game," Herrera told the MSL Memphis Daily News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
