Starting pitcher Héctor Sánchez pitched well enough to help the MSL Long Island Lighthouse beat the MSL Panama City Piranhas, 6-4. The winner was Sánchez. He threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Song-saeng Paek. Carlos Ruíz earned the save for MSL Long Island, his 3rd of the year.

MSL Long Island relied on the bat of Masujiro Ishii to get the win. The catcher produced a run-scoring ground out in the top of the eighth inning to put the Lighthouse ahead, 4-3. For the game, Ishii had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"I was trying to do what I do, go out there and compete," said Sánchez.
