Dirty Reds Upend Piranhas, 8-6
|
Getting offensive support from Armando Reyes, the MSL Dayton Dirty Reds topped the MSL Panama City Piranhas, 8-6. Reyes went 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Dirty Reds. MSL Dayton, with the win, sits at 3-8.
With MSL Dayton leading 4-2 in the top of the fourth, Reyes came up to bat against MSL Panama City pitcher Abruri Njoka. Reyes hit a fastball to right-center for a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season put the Dirty Reds on top, 6-2.
In comments to the MSL Dayton Herald, Reyes admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
