Hurricanes Stick Northern Lions BC with 7-4 Loss
|
José Flores, who is tied for 2nd in the 3MSL in doubles with 6, led MSL Cape Coral to a triumph over MSL Thunder Bay. The final score was 7-4. The left fielder went 4 for 5, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 1 run and added 1 RBI. MSL Cape Coral reliever Kiryl Neunylov picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ryozo Sakamoto took the loss. The win makes MSL Cape Coral 7-6.
MSL Cape Coral took the lead, 7-4, on Iván Gonzáles's 2nd home run of the season. The grand slam home run came off MSL Thunder Bay pitcher Ryozo Sakamoto in the bottom of the seventh.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Flores told the MSL Cape Coral Bulletin. "It's as simple as that."
