The MSL Detroit Elite dealt the MSL Echo Park Lakers a 6-2 loss at MSL Detroit Ballpark. Armando Cháves went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs. Labaan Makwangwala, the winner, improved to 1-1. He held the Lakers to 2 runs on 4 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 3. The win takes MSL Detroit to 3-6.
Cháves had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Elite went on to win.
