MSL Nova Scotia and MSL Oakland duked it out and the Leviathan came out victorious.
The MSL Nova Scotia Leviathan knocked off the MSL Oakland Oaks, 4-1, in M3L Mexican Summer League action at MSL Oakland Ballpark. MSL Nova Scotia pitcher and Willemstad, Curaçao, native Simon Meilaart had an outstanding performance. Meilaart got the win, improving to 2-3. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. He allowed no runs. Jesse Walsh closed it out for MSL Nova Scotia, earning his 4th save.
Chipping in for MSL Nova Scotia was right fielder Gidde Lissenberg. He stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth. For the game, Lissenberg was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said MSL Oakland manager Gomez Talone.
The 'W' lifts MSL Nova Scotia's record to 6-9.
