Northern Lions BC Deal MSL Baltimore 6-3 Defeat
|
The MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC beat the MSL Baltimore Bullets, 6-3, at MSL Thunder Bay Ballpark. MSL Thunder Bay left fielder Jan Kowalski had the hot bat. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The winning pitcher was 17-year old right-handed pitcher Juan García. He tossed 87 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. MSL Thunder Bay now has a record of 8-7 with the win.
Had Dennis Agymah not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Agymah hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Northern Lions BC.
"It was a team effort and I thought the guys had a good plan and approach," said Agymah after the game.
