Battery Deal Lighthouse 4-1 Setback
The MSL Charleston Battery picked up a win at MSL Charleston Ballpark, taking down the MSL Long Island Lighthouse, 4-1. Starting pitcher Armando Torres was a big reason why. Torres yielded 1 run over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 3, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-1. The save went to Seung Pak, his 1st this season.

Tomás Bañuelos dealt the Lighthouse a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and MSL Charleston leading 2-1, Bañuelos, who is tied for 3rd in the 3MSL with a .759 slugging percentage, hit a 0-1 sinker for a run-scoring single.

"When Armando is on, he can really move the ball around," said MSL Charleston manager Koryusai Ohayashi.

MSL Charleston is now 9-6, while MSL Long Island is 6-9.
