MSL Montana defeated MSL Vancouver, 6-3, in large part due to 18-year old left fielder Gui-fan Ow-Yang. Ow-Yang drove in 3 runs. The center fielder had 1 double and 1 home run for the Pandas. Juha Vihavainen came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The win leaves MSL Montana with a record of 1-8.

There was more than one reason the Pandas beat the Grey Wolves, but Ow-Yang's big at-bat in the bottom of the third was an important factor. He staked his team to a 3-0 lead when he hit a 3-run home run.

Ow-Yang said the win provided the team a "morale boost."
