Takuda Helps Grey Wolves Beat Oaks, 8-1
|
MSL Vancouver took on MSL Oakland in front of a lively crowd.
The MSL Vancouver Grey Wolves downed the MSL Oakland Oaks, 8-1. The hitting star was left fielder Tokuhei Takuda. Takuda was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Grey Wolves. MSL Vancouver is now 9-7, while MSL Oakland is 11-5.
Juan Colón went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for MSL Vancouver. The 18-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off Ed Alvarado. It was his 22nd hit of the season.
"I thought we played a nice game," Takuda told the MSL Vancouver Herald. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
