Figueroa, Ponies Too Much for Bowties
|
A 5-RBI performance from Júlio Figueroa helped the MSL Kingston Ponies beat the MSL Buckhead Bowties, 9-6. MSL Kingston reliever Rodrigo Alfonso picked up the win to move to 1-0. Rehor Podhola suffered the loss. Earning his 4th save of the year was Nuruddin Tanui.
In the bottom of the eighth, Figueroa put his team in front with his 3rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which came against Rehor Podhola, made it 8-6, MSL Kingston.
"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Figueroa.
With the win over MSL Buckhead, the Ponies improved to 6-11.
