Battery Collect 9-6 Win Over Northern Lions BC
|
The MSL Charleston Battery and MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC put on quite a show.
It took 11 innings, but the MSL Charleston Battery were able to beat the MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 9-6, at MSL Thunder Bay Ballpark. Bill Vázquez provided some offensive muscle for MSL Charleston. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 4 runs and drove in 2. The second-place Battery have won 5 straight games.
The game was all tied up in the top of the 11th, until Vázquez delivered big-time for MSL Charleston, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Charles Kalkema. The game-changing hit put the Battery on top, 7-6.
"I still think this team can play even better," Vázquez told the MSL Charleston Observer.
