Loss to Leviathan Extends MSL Toronto Losing Streak
|
MSL Nova Scotia shortstop Blake Murray played a vital role in his team's 4-3 conquest of MSL Toronto. He went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for MSL Nova Scotia. Arjen Stenissen got the win, improving to 3-1. He held the Thunder to 1 run on 5 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 2. The losses continue to add up for MSL Toronto, having now dropped 8 straight.
Murray put MSL Nova Scotia up, 3-0, when he hit a 2-run home run off Juan Zanudo in the bottom of the third. His 3rd home run of the season helped the Leviathan capture the win.
MSL Toronto manager Jake Grant, after yet another defeat, remained upbeat. He said: "We're going to get out of this thing, we're going to come busting through."
