Dirty Reds Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
|
MSL Dayton Dirty Reds starter José García turned in an exceptional performance against the MSL Oakland Oaks at MSL Dayton Ballpark, resulting in a MSL Dayton win, 3-2. García, now 1-2, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Chris Guzmán earned the save for MSL Dayton, his 1st of the year.
With one out in the bottom of the fifth, Roku Morita stroked a go-ahead, run-scoring double. It was his 1st double of the season and put MSL Dayton in front, 2-1.
"You have to win 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 games if you want to get to where you want to go," said Dirty Reds manager Owen Kieffer.
The Dirty Reds win now puts them at 6-13.
