MSL Buckhead overcame a superior effort from Anastasio Valenzuela to beat MSL Kingston, 2-1. The MSL Kingston pitcher threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Pablo Martínez sewed up the save, his 1st. With the win over MSL Kingston, the Bowties improved to 11-8.
MSL Buckhead used the clutch hitting of Miguel González to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bowties ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Our pitching was the difference tonight," González said.
