Kingfishers Get Past MSL Echo Park, 9-8
In a high-scoring contest between MSL Pittsburgh and MSL Echo Park, right fielder Stilwell Gardner was a difference-maker. Gardner, the 23rd overall pick in the 2062 draft, distinguished himself in the 9-8 MSL Pittsburgh win. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The Kingfishers, at 7-4, sit in first place in the SL MSL.

Gardner contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for MSL Pittsburgh in the top of the ninth. With his team trailing 7-6, Gardner took a sinker from José Chavarría and stroked the home run to right. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Kingfishers to leap in front, 9-7.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said MSL Pittsburgh manager Ricky Miller.
