Coeur Win Another One, 6-4

Though he had a stellar game, Kichibei Komatsu could not prevent his team, the MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, from losing, 6-4, to the MSL St. Louis Coeur. Komatsu hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Joe Weber, the winning pitcher, improved to 1-2. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 5 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 2. Diego Ramos earned save number 8 this season.
Jaime Vega took Javier Peña deep with two out in the bottom of the first. On a 1-1 curveball, Vega drilled a 3-run home run to left. It was his 4th home run of the season and put MSL St. Louis on top, 3-0.
"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said MSL St. Louis manager Harunobu Matsushita.
The 10th-place Northern Lions BC dropped to 7-13.
