Red-Hot Hurricanes Win Again
MSL Cape Coral pitcher Ty Simmons had a large part in his team subduing the MSL Charleston Battery, 5-0. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. Simmons got the win, improving to 3-1. He gave up 3 hits and walked 4 over 6.2 innings. He allowed no runs. MSL Cape Coral bumps their record to 16-5 with the win.

MSL Cape Coral went up, 3-0, on Iván Gonzáles's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Gonzáles hit in the top of the seventh, left MSL Charleston pitcher Warren Brooks shaking his head.

"Everybody is chipping in right now," said Simmons. "That's what makes it so much fun."
