The exploits of center fielder Hai-liang Tse, who is tied for 7th in the 3MSL in extra base hits with 13, helped the MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC defeat the MSL St. Louis Coeur, 10-0. Tse went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. The Northern Lions BC saw their win-loss record go to 8-13. At the same time, the Coeur fell to 12-9.

With MSL Thunder Bay leading 5-0 in the top of the seventh, Tse batted against MSL St. Louis pitcher Zachary Usherwood. Tse hit a sinker to right-center for a grand slam home run. His 9th home run of the season put the Northern Lions BC on top, 9-0.

MSL St. Louis manager Harunobu Matsushita summed up his team's performance in one word: "Pathetic."
