Flamingos LF Mansfield slugs 2 home runs in Win
The MSL Las Vegas Flamingos and MSL Long Island Lighthouse lit up the scoreboard.

In a high-scoring contest between MSL Las Vegas and MSL Long Island, left fielder Axel Mansfield was a difference-maker. Mansfield, who is tied for 5th in the SMSL with a .408 batting average, distinguished himself in the 18-8 MSL Las Vegas win. He went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 6. The first-place Lighthouse dropped to 8-4.

A key moment came in the top of the fourth inning when Flamingos center fielder Dale Johnston socked a 0-1 slider to center for a run-scoring single, putting MSL Las Vegas up, 7-6.

"This game had a little bit of everything," said Mansfield.
