Liberty Fight for 2-1 Win
MSL Philadelphia got a first-rate effort from pitcher Damien Pomardi, who frustrated MSL Pittsburgh hitters en route to a 2-1 Liberty triumph at MSL Liberty Ballpark. Vladimir Ogrijenovic, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. MSL Philadelphia, now 5-7, holds down 7th place in the SL MSL.

Lorenzo Cervantes drew 1 walk for MSL Philadelphia. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, Cervantes had a clutch at-bat. Facing MSL Pittsburgh hurler Edgar Vásquez, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Liberty a 2-1 lead.

"Runs were at a premium," said MSL Philadelphia manager Manuel Rodríguez.
