Rainbow Mermaids Stumble, Lose to Stingers
The Toledo Stingers picked up a win at Pacesetter Park, downing the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 8-4. On the mound for Toledo was left-hander Puhi Paselio, who played a pivotal role in the win. Toledo reliever Ed Fox was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Brian Folger took the loss. The defeat makes Northern Virginia 9-8.

Júlio Féliz hit a 2-run double off Brian Folger in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Stingers in front, 3-1. In addition to the double, Féliz had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Féliz told the Toledo Chronicle.
