MSL Charleston and MSL Nova Scotia got after it at MSL Nova Scotia Ballpark.

The MSL Charleston Battery powered past the MSL Nova Scotia Leviathan, 12-7, at MSL Nova Scotia Ballpark. Gerardo Contreras was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times, to lead the charge. Cheol-han Ho, the winner, goes to 4-2. He allowed 1 run on 1 hits, with 6 walks and 5 strikeouts over 5.2 innings. Sang-keun Yi earned the save for MSL Charleston.

Walliyullah bin Yoonus had a big grand slam home run for the Battery in the top of the third inning. With MSL Charleston leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from 18-year old left-handed pitcher Júlio Calderón and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Battery on top, 7-0.

"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Contreras told the MSL Charleston News.

The 6th-place Battery are 12-12.
