Grey Wolves Prevail, 3-1, Over MSL Long Island
|
MSL Vancouver registered a win at MSL Vancouver Ballpark by beating the MSL Long Island Lighthouse, 3-1. Pitcher Raúl Rodríguez was one reason why the Grey Wolves triumphed. Rodríguez, now 3-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 1, walking 5, and allowing 1 run. Evan Collishaw closed the door for MSL Vancouver, picking up his 1st save of the year.
Leonardo García helped out the MSL Vancouver cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the center fielder was 2-4 with 2 singles.
"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said García.
With the win, MSL Vancouver pushed its record to 8-5.
