The MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC stopped the MSL D.C. Divided, 3-2, at MSL Thunder Bay Ballpark. The Northern Lions BC got a big game from Luis Rivas, who went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. MSL Thunder Bay occupies 8th place in the 3L MSL at 11-13.
Rivas had a timely hit for MSL Thunder Bay in the bottom of the seventh. With MSL Thunder Bay trailing 2-1, he turned a 1-1 slider into a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season, making it 3-2, MSL Thunder Bay.
"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said MSL D.C. manager Wessel Rosas.
