Sánchez Slugs Mockingbirds to 6-1 Win
|
The MSL Memphis Mockingbirds defeated the MSL Colorado Billy Goats, 6-1, at MSL Colorado Ballpark. MSL Memphis second baseman José Sánchez had a superb performance. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Anthony Wright, the winner, improved to 2-1. He held MSL Colorado to no runs on 2 hits over 6 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. MSL Memphis has run its win streak to 4 straight.
With MSL Memphis leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Sánchez hit a cutter from Román Bravo for a run-scoring double. It was his 6th double of the season and put the Mockingbirds ahead, 2-0.
