Ubbens Leads Bowties to 6-2 Win Over Ponies
|
The MSL Buckhead Bowties handed the MSL Kingston Ponies a 6-2 defeat at MLB Buckhead Ballpark. Third Baseman Umberto Ubbens starred for MSL Buckhead. He went 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The winning pitcher was Kenkichi Takeda. He tossed 86 pitches over 6.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits. The Bowties are now 19-5.
Ubbens had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-1 slider from Anastasio Valenzuela, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Bowties a 2-1 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Ubbens.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Ubbens told the MSL Buckhead Chronicle.
