Flamingos Hang 3-2 Loss on Piranhas
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the MSL Las Vegas Flamingos got the win.
Getting a good performance from third baseman Ben Pérez, the MSL Las Vegas Flamingos defeated the MSL Panama City Piranhas, 3-2. Pérez went 4-4 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs for the Flamingos. The 5th-place Piranhas dropped to 8-6.
Had Cisco Martínez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Martínez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Flamingos.
"This was a total team effort," said Pérez.
