MSL St. Louis right-hander Vaclav Broekhuizen helped his team edge MSL Charleston by the score of 3-2. Broekhuizen kept the opposing lineup in check. Getting the save was Diego Ramos, his 9th. MSL St. Louis has a record of 15-10, placing them 4th in the 3L MSL.
The Battery had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Coeur going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 17-year old shortstop Marie Le Berre came to the plate. Le Berre hit a 2-run double on a 0-1 fastball from MSL Charleston hurler Larry St. John. It was Le Berre's 5th double of the year.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said MSL Charleston manager Koryusai Ohayashi.
