Gil Chapman never let MSL Las Vegas get something going. The MSL Philadelphia right-hander commanded his splitter in pitching the Liberty to a 2-1 win. The save was credited to Denis Teissier, his 5th. The third-place Liberty now sit at 9-6.

The Liberty benefited from a costly error in the top of the eighth. With Joong-geun Yi at bat and MSL Philadelphia leading 1-0, the MSL Las Vegas miscue allowed MSL Philadelphia to plate 1 and take the lead, 2-0.

Chapman called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
