Stingers Edge MSL Las Vegas in Pitching Duel
MSL Toledo took on MSL Las Vegas in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Pepe Valentín, in particular, was fantastic. The MSL Toledo left-hander helped his team snag the win, 1-0. Valentín yielded no runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-1. The save went to Juan Martínez, number 1 for him.

Tied up with the Flamingos in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Stingers got a boost from catcher Stephen Ball. With a runner on 3rd, Ball saw a 0-1 fastball from Franco Morán and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put MSL Toledo on top, 1-0.

"I'm happy we won," said Valentín. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."

The Stingers improved their record to 7-8 with the win over MSL Las Vegas.
