Slumping Divided Lose Again
Teun van der Kooij was terrific for the MSL Cape Coral Hurricanes in his team's 6-0 triumph over the MSL D.C. Divided. His performance earned van der Kooij rave reviews. van der Kooij yielded no runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 6. His record improves to 2-1. The 9th-place Hurricanes improved to 11-15.

MSL Cape Coral used a clutch at-bat from Guillermo Torres to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Hurricanes ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said van der Kooij. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
