Grey Wolves Get One-Run Win at MSL Philadelphia
|
MSL Philadelphia got a terrific game from third baseman Wen Yong. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to MSL Vancouver, 4-3. Yong went 4 for 4 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 times. MSL Vancouver starter Raúl Rodríguez was credited with the win after throwing 112 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The Grey Wolves saw their record improve to 7-9.
MSL Vancouver relied on the bat of Adam Barnett to get the win. The left fielder produced a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Grey Wolves ahead, 2-0. For the game, Barnett had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
Barnett called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
