Leviathan Tag Dirty Reds with 8-1 Loss
|
The MSL Nova Scotia Leviathan beat the MSL Dayton Dirty Reds, 8-1, at MSL Dayton Ballpark. MSL Nova Scotia designated hitter Pierre Hébert had the hot bat. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Júlio Calderón went 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits. The left-hander struck out 2 and walked 2. With the win, he ups his record to 1-4 this season. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Román Sánchez.
Min-u Ko went 1-4 with a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for MSL Nova Scotia. The slick-fielding second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Yun Ran. It was his 11th walk of the season.
"We did the things that it takes to win a game," said Hébert.
